HMI Land Planning Workshop - Marfa, TX - September 27-29, 2010

Come experience the magic of Marfa with us as we explore the concepts and tools of Holistic Land Planning. We will have a ball learning in the ballroom of the historic Hotel Paisano and enjoy some “lands-on learning” at the nearby Dixon Water Foundation Marfa Ranch in an exciting field day to which the public is invited. Land Planning is one of five fundamental practices in Holistic Management. Class dates are September 27-29, with a free field on September 28th. Cost for this education is $200. FREE Field Day at Dixon Water Foundation's Marfa Ranch - September 28, 2010

Register for this free field day at Marfa Ranch in Marfa, TX. On September 28th, we will gather at headquarters at 9am for a brief orientation to this 11,000-acre ranch and to Holistic Management. Marfa Ranch land planners Walt Davis and Robby Tuggle will show you the hows and whys of their plan. Dr. Bonnie Warnock, department chair of Natural Resource Management at Sul Ross State University in Alpine will show us the grazing lands research projects her department is conducting on the ranch. Christopher Gill will join us to discuss and demonstrate some of the many uses of the Yeoman’s Plow, which he has been experimenting with, on his Circle Ranch in Van Horn, Texas.
