Ashley participated in the HMI Whole Farm Planning in the North East program from 2017-2020. She has a small farm in upstate New York and was a Senior Resource Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension with a focus on livestock, supporting farmers in a six-county region in the Hudson Valley area where she incorporated Holistic Management principles. On her small farm, she holistically manages her sheep, meat rabbits, and poultry and promotes these concepts to the farmers she works with. Ashley also extensively uses Holistic Management principles to run a small dog breeding, training, and sales business, where she prepares working dogs for civilian dog sports as well as for police applications.
Ashley currently works for the Maple Hill Creamery as Field Relationship Manager. Ashley's education includes an Associate's Degree in Beef and Livestock Production and a Bachelor's of Technology Degree in Dairy Management from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Cobleskill and Morrisville. She is currently in a PhD program at Prescott College, studying sustainability education, with a research focus on regenerative agriculture and rural development, specifically the effects of agricultural consolidation on rural communities.
