HMI Attends Acres USA Conference

HMI’s Director of Community Service, Ann Adams presented a 3-hour Introduction to Holistic Management workshop at this year’s Acres USA Conference and Tradeshow on December 12th in

Springfield, Illinois. Approximately 70 people participated in this workshop with approximately 25 self-identifying as beginning farmers. There were lots of great questions and learning during the workshop that included small group, experiential exercises. While many participants were eager to have more time to learn about Holistic Management, they also noted on their evaluations that they had improved their ability to develop a whole farm goal and test decisions toward that goal.

Ann was joined an impressive array of presenters including, Holistic Management practitioners Greg Judy, and Gabe Brown. HMI also had a trade booth at the conference staffed by Ann and Program Manager, Peggy Cole. Thanks to all who stopped by to say hello and to learn more about HMI’s program offerings for 2014.
