Rebekah Napier from Seminole, Oklahoma

HMI is excited to announce that rancher/consultant Rebekah Napier has successfully completed all requirements to obtain her certification as an HMI Whole Farm/Ranch Trainer!

Rebekah currently stewards about 900 acres of land in Central Oklahoma near Seminole, holistically managing a cow/calf herd, a hair sheep flock and raising pastured poultry at Buckeye Ranch.

Rebekah previously worked for an international seed company where her duties included oversight of operations in Mexico (she speaks Spanish fluently). As she traveled through the Sonoran desert, she saw how in only a few decades what had been lush with production crops was now an abandoned wasteland. She also saw how the people are now struggling to support their families on a mere fraction of what the land produced in the past. As Rebekah became aware of the principles of soil health, ecosystem processes and Holistic Management she now knows that the current state of the landscape anywhere can be influenced and changed for the better and she wants to share this understanding and experiences with her community in Central Oklahoma.

For the past two years Rebekah has worked through HMI's Whole Farm/Ranch Trainer program and learned how to effectively coach, facilitate, and consult with farmers and ranchers to help them develop their whole farm/ranch goals, improve their on-farm decision-making, and develop holistic financial and grazing plans.

Congratulations, Rebekah!
