The Luckiest Places On Earth from Peter Byck on Vimeo. "Luckiest Places on Earth" is the most recent video by Peter Byck about how Holistic Management practitioners are improving land health and function. In this video, Shipwheel Feeders, Hoven Farms, Tamara Ranch, and A7 Ranche are highlighted as research sites being used to see just how much additional soil carbon and water infiltration is happening on sites where holistic planned grazing is being practiced. At one ranch they are storing 2 1/2 tons of carbon per hectare because of their grazing practices. Likewise, on another ranch, they have 10 times the water infiltration on areas where they practice holistic planned grazing versus where they are grazing conventionally. If you are looking for a video that shows how this scientific research is being done and the type of equipment used to quantify carbon sequestration and water infiltration, check out this video and see why landscapes where people are practicing Holistic Management are some of the luckiest places on earth!
