NM Vets get out on the land with HMI

Writer: onlinehmionlinehmi

This Monday, our Veterans Training Program participants visited The Old Windmill Dairy and learned about caring for goats, milking and cheese-making standards. In this workshop series, HMI is teaching Holistic Management Whole Farm Planning to military vets and active service personnel.

Co-owner Michael Lobaugh was a most gracious host, a loving dad to his “babies”, and truly one of the best artisan cheese-makers around! HMI gives special thanks to The Old Windmill Dairy, La Montanita Co-op, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Agriculture for making this opportunity possible and for including us in such a great program!
