Storytelling for a Regenerative Future

As a children’s book author, I believe that caring for the Earth begins by planting seeds of wonder and responsibility in the hearts of our youngest generations. That’s why I write stories that help kids fall in love with the natural world - and feel empowered to protect it.
My first book, The Mystical Magical Abracadabracal Daniel McDougal McDouglas McFly, is a whimsical tale about habitat conservation and reforestation. It was honored with two Purple Dragonfly Awards and endorsed by the Jane Goodall Institute of Nepal. Through Daniel McFly’s magical journey, I invite children to imagine a world where they are empowered to take kid-sized actions to preserve the environment around them. Sometimes the pen really is mightier than the sword!
The second book in the Daniel McFly series, Oceans Alive!, dives into the importance of cleaning up our oceans and waterways. I was honored to receive an endorsement from famed oceanographer and conservationist Dr. Sylvia Earle, founder of Mission Blue. This story reminds young readers that even the smallest Earthlings can help make a big splash for our blue planet.
As I learn more about the work of Holistic Management International, I realize that I am deeply aligned with its mission. I too know that regeneration isn’t just about land - it’s about people, relationships, and holistic systems. My goal is to help children understand the interconnectedness of all living things and to inspire them to become thoughtful stewards of the Earth - of their future.

Teaching the next generation how to care for the land, the water, and each other is essential to the long-term health of our planet. Whether through grazing practices or story pages, our communities are all shaping a more resilient, biodiverse, and beautiful world.
Thank you to HMI for the work you do and for helping grow a generation of holistic thinkers, land protectors, and Earth guardians.
